How does a photo Tour work?

I like to plan my photo tours around the time of day when the light is most dramatic, which means most of my tours begin well before sunrise, or sunset, so we are at our location and ready to capture the best images we can.

We will meet up to 1-1.5 hours ahead of sunrise/sunset time, to allow for any driving to a location, as well as some time to scout a few different compositions. This also allows us time to enjoy the beauty and solitude the mountains offer, while at the same time capturing great images.

Sample Sunrise Session

(Mid July Sunrise time is around 5:50am)

- 4:45am. Pick-up at location of clients choice, or at Jasper Information Center.

- 5:20am. Arrive at location and scout for various photo compositions...appreciate scenery.

- 5:50am - 7:15am. Photograph "Golden Hour" light and explore surrounding areas for more photo opportunities. *Note, shooting time may vary depending on conditions and location choice, but typically there is 1.5-2 hours of shooting.*

- 7:30am. Begin drive back to Jasper, still looking for more photo ops as we go.

- 8:15am. Arrive back in Jasper, or clients drop off area of choice.

- 8:20am. More coffee.

Sample Sunset Session

(Mid July Sunset time is around 10:00pm)

- 7:45pm. Pick-up at location of clients choice, or at Jasper Information Center.

- 8:20pm. Arrive at location and scout for various photo compositions...appreciate scenery.

- 8:20pm - 10:15pm. Photograph "Golden Hour" light and explore surrounding areas for more photo opportunities. *Note, shooting time may vary depending on conditions and location choice, but typically there is 1.5-2 hours of shooting.*

- 10:30pm. Begin drive back to Jasper, still looking for more photo ops as we go.

- 11pm. Arrive back in Jasper, or clients drop off area of choice.

- Bedtime...get up and do it all over again the next day!
